Every year in early March, defense contractors and the tech companies who support them have gathered as part of SXSW, until last year when organized community pressure forced them out—at least formally!
But that hasn’t stopped them from gathering this year for their own simultaneous conference: Capital Factory House. Despite their attempt at a cool vibe, the truth is, they are gathering to figure out how to maximize their imperialist profits by finding new ways to surveil, control, and murder people all over the world.
Show up at 8am on Saturday, March 8 to the corner of Brazos and 7th St to tell these ghouls what you think of their bloody and horrific work!
It is also worth noting that these operations happen year round at this location. Multiple “tech” divisions of the US military have permanent operations in Capital Factory, and they’re constantly working to improve US imperialism’s methods for violently dominating and exploiting the people of the world. Their presence is a stain on the city and has no place here. By protesting them on March 8 we also hope to highlight that they are here year round, and ideally should never be given a moment’s peace!
Bring signs, Palestinian and other flags from countries where the US is carrying out genocide and slaughter, and give these creeps a piece of your mind!
