SXSW functions as a front for gentrification. It is partially owned by local ruling class elites who pay official bands/artists a measly $350. SXSW owners (they also run the chronicle) have a history of partnering with police & wealthy developers via non profits to terrorize and straight up murder black and brown peoples from Austin neighborhoods like Riverside. Connecting the dots from Austin to Uvalde to Palestine solidifies our bonds with the international movement to liberate humanity from this wretched and decaying capitalist epoch!
