Join us for a session on active and emerging resistance toward extractive industry infrastructure. An opportunity for individuals or groups to share the projects they’re working on or hoping to build in their region, exchange strategic and tactical approaches, and discuss perspectives on the role that interfering with the expansion of extraction-enabling infrastructure plays in greater resistance to global capital and imperialism. Projects that will be discussed include the development of new biofuel plants along the west coast that are driving mass deforestation, planned clear-cutting of an urban forest in the Midwest to build a Los Alamos-partnered data center for ‘national security projects’, and we ask anyone with an emerging or present extractive industry struggle in your area to please come share it! If you do not have a current campaign, come hear what others are up to, how to get involved, and brainstorm possible overlapping interests or ways to work together to make our struggles stronger!
